Welcome to the Houston Civil War Round Table. Our organization's mission is to promote impartial inquiry, study, and education about the period of the American Civil War and its causes and aftermath.

John A. Barnes

John has been a member of the Civil War Roundtable of New York for fourteen years. He recently moved to Houston, where is the executive speechwriter for BP America. John A. Barnes has been a journalist, writer, speaker, and television commentator whose articles have appeared in numerous publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, the Reader's Digest, and America's Civil War.
